From our distillery in the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, we explore the places that surround us. The Waypoint 31 Year Old celebrates the journey from Inversnaid to Inverarnan, a wild and adventurous trail along the north-east banks of Loch Lomond. The Waypoint Series 31 Year Old celebrates this adventurous trail and shares its sense of wonder and wilderness.
The 31 Year Old Single Malt, distilled in our Straight Neck Stills, is matured in three types of ex-Bourbon American Oak Casks and finished for 12 months in Tawny Port Pipes.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Opens on dark fruits – blackberries under a layer of honey sweetness.
TASTE
The palate brings a rich dark chocolate note with freshly picked raspberries and a gentle cedar wood character.
FINISH
A beautifully long and complex finish as expected from a whisky of this age. A soft wood smoke is present throughout with hints of various dark fruits.
