Description

The first batch of single malt whisky from the Isle of Raasay distillery, the first legal distillery on the Hebridean island. Raasay's R01.1 single malt release is an assemblage of unpeated and peated spirits matured in first-fill Rye Whiskey casks, virgin Chinkapin oak and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks. The result being a lightly peated dram with dark fruits and spice.

 Official Tasting Notes

 Lightly peated – aromatic smoke. Fruit- cherry, apricot, blackcurrant. Savoury spice- black pepper, cinnamon. Sweet spice – crystalised ginger. Sandalwood, vanilla & butterscotch. A hint of saltiness.
